2-4-08 FGN UPDATE
2     I recently wrote a few blog articles about the pay for Christian executives. I think most Christians will find this all truly shocking. This is not a main component of my ministry, but I feel that I have to do it because those that should, such as ECFA (Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability), aren't doing their jobs sufficiently. In fact, one of my articles is just about that. I talked to the President of ECFA by phone for about an hour a couple of weeks ago, and we have some major differences of opinion as to what ECFA should be doing for a bare minimum. Here are the recent articles:

You know, with all the "exposing" I'm doing, I'm kind of surprised I haven't been threatened with a lawsuit. Maybe it has something to do with me just simply stating the facts? I try not to get emotional or into name-calling, but I may occasionally fall to the temptation... let me know if you see me faltering in that way. My goal is to simply expose these dark secrets, as I think it will have a healing effect on the Christian community... purging the greed-based evil that is evident.

While I do believe it is Biblical that God "desires above all things that we may prosper and be in health", and I realize that some of these large ministries contribute to good works, I couldn't agree more that their salaries are out of line with what God would approve of. I would like to see them using those funds to feed thousands of starving people in African nations. I understand their struggles because I'm a missionary and have reached out to many for years. Your research has opened my eyes and it has caused me to loose respect, and to discontinue giving to these ministries. I appreciate your bringing this to the attention of the body of Christ. God bless you for your efforts!

Thank you for the salary survey. The information you provide is eye opening. May Christ our God bless you and your ministry. In Christ, Fr. G.J.

We feel that you are providing a great service in your survey of Christian executives salaries. We copied one of your charts into our web site at: http://www.religioustolerance.org/relsalary.htm and linked it to our morality/ethics menu. We make three recommendations to persons interested in supporting para-church groups financially. One of them is to support your organization.

DECADES AGO, it was accepted amongst mature Christians ... those who did not attend church were backsliders...

TODAY, the church has backslidden. Truly these are the days of Living Laodicea...

Many have been separated by God, and restored as they have entered the wilderness of God...

They still fellowship amongst themselves strengthening each other.

Like Spurgeon in the Downgrade controversy,
we need to be faithful to the word of the Lord in this hour...

We have been prepared by God in the wilderness over the past 20 years...
