ISAIAH 60:1-3
Arise, shine;
For your light has come!
And the glory of the Lord is risen
upon you.
For behold, the darkness shall cover the
earth,
And deep darkness the people;
But the Lord will rise over you,
And His glory will be seen upon you.
The Gentiles shall come to your light,
And kings to the brightness of your
rising.
In the Book of Haggai, the command is to bring wood from the mountains. This wood is brought to establish and rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem. This is prophetic of the restoration of the church in the last days prior to the return of our precious Lord Jesus Christ.
Notice that both wood (solid wood) and gold (pure gold) are needed to restore the temple. Isaiah also speaks of the wood as the glory of Lebanon in verse 13.
The glory of Lebanon shall come to
you,
The cypress, the pine, and the box tree
together,
To beautify the place of My sanctuary;
And I will make the place of My feet
glorious.
Remember the previous word from the Book of Haggai: 'The silver is Mine and the gold is Mine.'
Look at Isaiah 60. The prophet speaks of those coming from afar bringing gold to the temple - verse 6. Their silver and gold with them - verse 9. Silver ... gold - verse 17.
Remember Kenneth Hagin's word concerning brass and gold.
Haggai emphasises the wood. Isaiah emphasises the gold. Much has been revealed about he gold - the pure gold - that has been restored and is being restored in this season. This does not refer primarily to the financial increase in the end-times that many speak of; nor to the manifestation of gold dust! It is prophetic of the restoration of the foundations and true doctrine and faith which underlies the coming move of God. Is is different from the faith of the Word-faith movement which has a different emphasis.
The beginning and end of Isaiah 60 is significant. We are not to arise in our own time. The Lord will hasten it in its time. If we do, the flesh will manifest and the light will not be a bright burning light.
The burden of true intercessors and the prophetic in this hour is given in Isaiah 62:1.
For Zion's sake I will not hold My
peace,
And for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest,
Until her righteousness goes forth as
brightness,
And her salvation as a lamp that burns.
We see the body of Christ (a remnant rather) arising from the dust and the "burning bright" radiance of glory coming from her. The brightness will increase like the sun in all its splendour. Consider Isaiah 60: 19-20.
The sun shall no longer be your light
by day,
Nor for brightness shall the moon give
light for you;
But the Lord will be to you an
everlasting light,
And your God your glory.
Your sun shall no longer go down,
Nor shall your moon withdraw itself;
For the Lord will be your everlasting
light,
And the days of your mourning shall be
ended.
An increase in healing and the miraculous accompanies the coming tsunami of God, bringing in the fullness of the end-time harvest.
But to you who fear My name
The Sun of Righteousness shall arise
With healing in His wings,
and you shall go out
and grow fat like stall-fed calves.
You shall trample the wicked,
For they shall be ashes under the soles
of your feet
On the day that I do this,
says the Lord of Hosts.
[Consider Tommy Hick's Vision]
Notice the present tense - IS.
Consider Revelation 1: 4,8
Grace to you and peace from Him who IS and who was and who is to come... I am the Alpha and the Omega... who IS and who was and who is to come.
We need to understand this. Our God is the God of the present. This is emphasised by the order of the words. It speaks of the cross. As we walk in Him, we leave the past and the future at the cross, look unto Jesus Christ living in the present moment. This is similar to eternity where there is no time. We need to come to the place of walking with Him in this manner.
In Ezekiel 47, we see a river flowing from beneath the Temple. It flowed into the Dead Sea and became deeper as it moved away from the Temple, through the wilderness toward and into the Dead Sea. This is prophetic of the deep anointing of the Holy Spirit of those in the wilderness of God. They are like John the Baptist. They do not come from the established church. They do not come from Jerusalem. They come from the wilderness of God. Why? The doctrine in the wilderness differs from that of Jerusalem.
Jerusalem's doctrine is for young Christians (stages of Christian character - babyhood, childhood, manhood and fatherhood). The doctrine of the wilderness is for mature Christians. Key words are DEEP - SPIRITUAL and NOT SOULISH, RECOGNISING HIS HAND IN ALL THINGS, the CROSS and BOLDNESS.
The waters became deeper. "The water came up to my ANKLES... the water came up to my KNEES... the water came up to my WAIST... it was a RIVER that I could not cross." This is a pictue of (1) the normal growth of a Christian (2) the body of Christ in the latter days.
Observe when the water is up to our ankles, we can still move freely and safely in the water. Although one has surrendered to His Lordship in word and commitment, self still has much control. As we move deeper in the river, it becomes increasingly more difficult to move. One has to flow with the river. The river has dominion. Our control decreases. It is similar to telling a child not to go too far out into the sea. As one matures, there is more of Him and less of self. No longer are works done in one's own strength. One lives in His Presence. He must increase, but I must decrease.
Another change which takes place is a shift from "arguing and debating doctrine" to one of a simple childlike faith in Jesus Christ. One becomes deeper and tends to have a simpler, more childlike faith. There is a shift in emphasis and foundations from the Word of God to knowing Jesus Christ intimately. One still spends much time in the Word of God, but more devotionally and the Song of Songs becomes real, portraying the intimacy between the mature believer and His precious Lord.
1. BABYHOOD self-pleaser
like to be noticed and appreciated
criticism - very sensitive to man's opinions
innocense
ignorance
irritability
2. CHILDHOOD man-pleaser
tossed to and fro
swing to extremes
spasmodic
unreliable
impulsive
a curious nature (trying to understand beyond where you are)
talkative - evil speaking (debating about Word of God), vain speaking, foolish talking
impressionable (very quick to role model those who are older in the Lord)
3. MANHOOD God-pleaser
living a victorious life (stability, depth, able to recognise God at work)
spirit dominated (before flesh and own strength, the love of God is seen, Presence of God)
esteems earthly things lightly (learnt the secret of being content in every situation)
boldness
(saintly dignity and not carnal independence)
4. FATHERHOOD
[Thought: Reputation is what people say you are. Character is what you are.]
Some mistakenly believe that maturity is the amount of Scripture one has memorised! God forbid! Every believer should spend time with Jeanne Guyon's classic, "Experiencing the depths of Jesus Christ," to correctly understand the process of Christian growth. Often Bible schools give characteristics of each stage in a Christian's growth, but ignore the important truths behind this growth.
Calvinism (the shift toward the sovereignity of God), the cross and intimate fellowship with Him are all underlying truths in this growth and development, both individually and corporately. This is why Spurgeon, the Prince of Preachers, stood alone during the closing years of his life accusing the church of backsliding. This was the result of the shift in preaching away from the sovereignity of God. Man's will and reponsibility began to predominate. It was all of us. Our role as co-labourers was emphasised. Sound familiar?
We have the same problem today. A change in the preaching and teaching is needed corporately throughout the body of Christ. Spurgeon was right! The churches of his day felt that he had missed it! He seemed to be alone in his generation. We need to listen to Spurgeon's correction as it is the heartbeat of the Lord in this hour. This problem is especially true in the Word-faith movement. That is why I mention it so often.
In Ezekiel 47, we see life and healing accompanying the river. It speaks of the end-time harvest and the miraculous which draws people to our Lord Jesus Christ during the coming Tsunami of God.
The feast of Tabanacles. Haggai 2 speaks of the latter temple which exceeds the former temple in glory. This prophetic word was given at the time of Tabanacles.
Centuries later, our Lord Jesus uttered these words at the time of Tabanacles in Jerusalem.
On the last day, that great day of the
feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If
anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.
He who believes in Me, as the Scriptures
has said, out of his heart will flow rivers
of living water.''
The key phrase is AS THE SCRIPTURES HAS SAID. The religeous men of His day had doctrine but not the Presence of God in their midst. His doctrine was different from their doctrine. Although they both kept to the Scriptures, the doctrine was different.
Similarly today, there is coming a clear separation in doctrine. The doctrine of Kathryn Kuhlman was different to the rest of her peers. Yes, she held on to the same truth - the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the soon coming of our Lord and other essential truths. However, her walk was different. What was her secret? Why did she have rivers of living water in her life and ministry and others only a trickle? The mystery.
The mystery has already been unvealed to those in the wilderness. The truth behind the Kathryn Kuhlmans and other generals of the past have already been revealed. The key has been found.
Truly, the faith that our Lord Jesus speaks of ("Believes in Me as the Scriptures has said") is different in emphasis from the faith that is taught in Word-faith circles; and yet closer to that of the historic churches. Even though faith is a many-facetted diamond, the emphasis of faith is crucial if we desire the rivers of living water to spring forth in our lives and ministries.
Be patient for the coming tsunami of God is at hand.
Foundation Text : JOHN 21
We see the unfolding of the Lord's dealings with the end-time church in this passage. Central to the passage is a fresh revelation of Jesus ('Jesus showed Himself again' verse 1) to the disciples.
Peter, in his youth, is self-willed. In verse 3, he says, "I am going fishing." The others simply follow him. Self rules. In later years, he matures and no longer follows his own ways. He becomes surrendered to His Lord, even to death. In verse 18, "when you were younger, you girded yourself and walked where you wished."
Similarly, in the 70's and 80's, we see the same thing in the charismatic church and most strongly in the faith movement. Self predominates. In this movement, we walk by faith, we dance by faith. We change ourselves through speaking the Word. We praise. We sing. We clap. Co-labourers - yes, but the emphasis in more on us. Self predominates in the doctrine. How different it is from the surrendered walk and the end-time move of the Holy Spirit. How different is it from the teachings of Christian classics such as Jeanne Guyon!
The fruit of being self-willed is found in verse 3, "and that night they caught nothing." Much work. Much effort. No or little fruit.
Decades ago, the morning star appeared. The prophets and spiritual saints saw the star. Pastor Ed Roebert of Hatfield and Benny Hinn were amongst those who saw it and were changed. They tasted of what is to come. They moved into a deeper, closer walk with Jesus and into the end-time anointing.

The Holy Spirit has been dealing with Christian leaders and those who are sensitive to the things of God for the past 20 - 30 years. A more complete and detailed account of what has been happening during the past decade throughout the body of Christ can be found under 'The Last Decade'. See Reformation.
Two earlier examples of the true inward change and outward fruit, which I observed, are given below:
Pastor Ed Roebert's (Hatfield Church, Pretoria - South Africa) last few years of ministry were different. He was following the Charismatic move and then the change came. The praise and worship changed. Hatfield went into a time of revival. This was due to the work of the Spirit in his life. He even spoke of Jeanne Guyon and what was being revealed to him at the time. He said a few years before he went to be with the Lord that he was like Moses looking over the promised land from the mountain. He saw the promised land. And like Moses, he died. Others will lead in the coming move of God.
Similarly, Benny Hinn was in trouble. He was publically chastised by leaders for unbalanced doctrine. This was the Word-faith teachings which are accepted in Charismatic circles. Then the change came. He changed. His ministry became gentler. He, too, spoke of Jeanne Guyon and her influence. His ministry changed from that time. I was very interested in this as exactly the same change took place in my life.
Sometimes, those who have experienced such a change, return to their former ways if a deep work has not been done in the wilderness - hence the importance of the wilderness in this end-time preparation.
Verse 4: "But when the morning had now come, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know it was Jesus."
Many in the Charismatic move have not discerned the change. Many have not come to the place of repentance. Many have not responded to His call, Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone comes to Me and opens the door, I will dine with him and he with Me. [REVELATION 3:20]
Some have tasted the breakfast, but not partaken of the main course. As we move deeper in this glorious fellowship, our ministries will shift from only "feeding My lambs" to also "feeding My sheep."
This change is similar to Joshua and Caleb amongst the other spies. The others were of the old order. Law predominated. Egypt still ruled in their hearts. However, Joshua and Caleb had different spirits. They had been changed by the Lord and their nature and character were different from the others. Sometimes the others thought that Joshua and Caleb were the same as they were. Mistaken. At other times they seemed rather different. A different spirit.
Ed Roebert and Benny Hinn were part of a company (the Joshua Caleb company) in the midst of the Charismatic move. Many have not discerned this. Notice too how the Faith movement focusses incorrectly on the confession of the spies, disclosing the shallowness of the past charismatic movement.
Then Jesus said to them" Children, have you any food?" ..."Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some."
We see an outbreak of the miraculous in reponse to His word. (rhema and not logos, coming from a restored relationship which He initiates sovereignly).
The miracles break out both financially (in the market place) and in the harvest of souls. The transferance of wealth to the saints is for the purpose of fulfilling the end-time harvest.
The surrendering of the will and all that is religeous is at the heart of this revelation. As we surrender our lives truly to Him, we will possess a deeper closer fellowship with Him, recognising His voice and the miraculous and anointing will become more and more evident in our lives.
I suggest that you consider purchasing a copy of 'Experiencing the depths of Jesus Christ' by Jeanne Guyon [a well-known Christian classic] as it accurately points and leads you in the right direction, emphasising the surrending of your will and all things that are religeous in your life and ministry.
Prophets have indicated clearly that 2007 is the beginning of the increase in the miraculous throughout the world. This should give us an idea of where the church is today.
Greater miracles lie ahead - both in the financial realm and the harvest of souls. The tsunami of God is ahead. We are moving into the fullness of the end-time harvest. The apostolic move will come into its fullness soon. Selah.
Agape love is often misunderstood in the church. Some say that it is primarily of the will, emphasising our role. Others see it similar to the world religeons. Truly, agape love is the fruit of the Spirit. As we grow deeper in our personal walk with Jesus Christ by turning inwardly toward Him and experiencing a deep continual anointing in our lives, agape love will manifest itself more and more. The Presence of God melts our hearts. Our hearts are no longer hearts of stone but hearts of flesh. His love is manifested. His love is different from our love. Our love is religeon. Dead works is the fruit.
Agape love is spiritual and not soulish (mind, will, emotions).
Desire to grow closer to Him and to move deeper in Him. Agape love will follow. The other fruits of the Spirit will also be there.

DECADES AGO, it was accepted amongst mature Christians ... those who did not attend church were backsliders...
TODAY, the church has backslidden. Truly these are the days of Living Laodicea...
Many have been separated by God, and restored as they have entered the wilderness of God...
They still fellowship amongst themselves strengthening each other.
Like Spurgeon in the Downgrade controversy,
we need to be faithful to the word of the Lord in this hour...
We have been prepared by God in the wilderness over the past 20 years...
